Have you ever asked yourself what are the keys to an effective youth ministry?

“I know I have and still do 11 years into running a youth ministry” say Tiff Spary from the BASE Youth Centre.

“I really want to do ministry better so I am continually seeking God, evaluating where I’m at, reading books, attending conferences, and asking questions.”

Tiff said she loves this journey, but to grow a youth ministry, she believes the leadership team needs to grow together.

“This can be a challenge because this requires the commitment of a whole team and can often be costly,” she said.

Last year, in response to this, the BASE Youth Centre ran a one-day masterclass with Ps. Ben Naitoko that was opened up to other youth ministries.

“The event was a huge success with over 30 youth pastors and leaders attending,” said Tiff. “Ben’s insights from his 15 years in youth ministry were not only amazing but doable and has helped both our ministry and team to grow.”

As a result of last year’s success, the BASE are running another masterclass next month with Ps. Sunjay Stevenson, the Principal of Metro Bible College and Pastor of iSee Church.

“He is a dynamic and passionate speaker who is both practical and spiritually inspiring,” said Tiff. “He has a heart to develop leaders and bring out the best in people.”
