Almost 20 years of counselling have convinced Anne Lastman that Australia is “drowning in abortion grief”.

Anne, who has degrees in psychology, theology and counselling, details the depth and breadth of abortion pain in her new book, Redeeming Grief.

Anne draws on her own experiences of two abortions, and the stories of more than 1500 women who have passed through her practice.

Anne is the keynote speaker at a conference being hosted by Toowoomba-based organisation, Emily’s Voice.

Her session will enable all delegates to understand the effects of abortion, symptoms of post abortion trauma, and will be useful for those in the medical, mental health, pastoral care and social science disciplines.

The Love, Life and Liberty Conference is being held on March 22 at Church at the Gabba, 859 Stanley Street, Woolloongabba, Brisbane.

Other speakers are Paul O’Rourke, CEO of pro-life media organisation Emily’s Voice, and Helen Glen, Community Education Manager for Priceless Life, Brisbane.

The seminar is $45, which includes morning tea and lunch, and every delegate receives a free copy of Paul O’Rourke’s book, Why Satan Hates Our Kids: How Children are Suffering and Why the Church Should Care.
