Stories continue to come in of how God changed lives at Easterfest 2014

Amazing testimonies from this year's Easterfest.
My mum has been away from Church and the Father for a very long time, since before I was born. The only reason she came to Easterfest was so that she could watch me play with my band Fox and Fiasco.
She ended up staying with a friend of hers who is a Christian and they had long discussions about the music and things that were being said in the tents and on the stage.
On the way to the Sunday morning Mainstage service I felt like I needed to read the story of the prodigal son to mum. The entire service was based around that exact story and I couldn’t control myself, I cried the entire way through it. At the end of the service, I found my mum looking for me and balling her eyes out.
She told me that she didn’t know how to respond and she didn’t know what she had to do. After talking with her through tears I was able to reassure her that she didn’t have to do anything but trust in the Lord.
After we chatted a little we found her friends and we all prayed. God completely met her where she was at and it was absolutely incredible that I got to be a part of His incredible plan.
God used Easterfest to reach my mum and show her that His love is alive and changing the world in the most miraculous way!
At the church service on Sunday morning, a family were sitting in front of us. The dad had an arm band on and the rest of the family didn’t. He must have invited them just for the church service. At the alter call, Mum and the 3 kids gave their hearts to Jesus!
Recently my friend has had some struggles with knowing that God really loves her and has forgiven her of her sins. During the service on Sunday morning, the guy who was speaking said in his sermon, “(my friend’s name) God has forgiven you,” and then carried on with his sermon. Praise God!
The whole weekend showed me a glimpse of heaven and how the Lord accepts us as we are and in whatever way we worship and praise him and the He calls us to come as we are. Thank you for a God filled powerful weekend!
In past years, I thought it was a morally good event. This year, it was a GOD event. I loved the large presence of chaplains. This was the first year we stayed for the Sunday service - Loved it!! Loved the different denominations worshipping together. Best Easter Sunday ever!
The most amazing experience was seeing a festival around religion (never been before) and finding the energy amazing! Not to mention it gave me a new found respect and understanding for what is not my normal scene. A very rewarding experience.
